Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever Family Memberships Take Flight
Habitat Conservation is a Family Activity
Saint Paul, Minn. - July 21, 2008 - Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) have launched a new membership package to engage the whole family in wildlife habitat conservation. The new Family Membership will increase the awareness and participation in conservation efforts of people representing a wide range of ages.

"Families and conservation have always gone hand-in-hand," explains Cheryl Riley, PF/QF's Vice President of Education & Outreach. "We believe it is essential to the success of our conservation mission to involve even the youngest members of our society in the outdoors. Enjoying the outdoors as a family builds bonds, memories, and a passion for nature that will last a lifetime."

"Family Membership is our way of connecting today's sons and daughters, and helping them mature into tomorrow's land stewards," added Diane Weyandt, PF/ QF's Director of Membership.

Dan Larsen of Hastings, Minnesota was the first person to officially enroll his entire family in the Family Membership Package - wife Shari and daughters Morgan (9) and Olivia (1). "This is important to me because I want to make sure that my family understands the importance of giving back to the outdoors," explained Larsen, "I want my family to also understand that if you want to ensure that you can always enjoy the great outdoors and activities like pheasant hunting, then you have to give back to it in order for it to be sustainable."

The new Family Membership Package costs $50 and covers the parent(s), guardian(s) and every youth member of the family residing at the same address. The family package also includes:

One year subscription to your choice between the Pheasants Forever Journal or Quail Forever Journal, featuring stories on upland bird hunting, guns, sporting dogs, habitat improvement projects, environmental issues, legislative action and other outdoor interests.

One year subscription to PF/QF's youth Upland Tales Magazine. Membership cards for each family member. Two vehicle decals featuring either the Pheasants Forever or Quail Forever logo.

Kids sticker sheet for each youth. One $10 gift card to the PF/QF Market Place. Access to the Member's Only section of the PF/QF website which includes special offers, coupons, and information. Local chapter access giving you an opportunity to attend meetings, participate in fundraising activities and chances to make a difference for wildlife habitat in your area.

"By signing up my daughters I hope to help them understand what a great sport pheasant hunting is and how important Pheasants Forever is to ensuring that this opportunity will exist for not only them, but their children as well," added Larsen.

Since inception in 1982, PF, and more recently QF, have improved more than 5 million acres of land for wildlife and engaged thousands of North America's youth in the outdoors. Doing your part and signing up for the Family Membership allows the $50 membership fee to help PF/QF to continue conserving and protecting critical wildlife habitat well into the future. Additionally, the amount of the donation in excess of $15 is deductible as a charitable contribution, so become a member today and get the entire family involved.
