This Week on Benelli's American Safari - South Dakota Pheasants
ACCOKEEK, MD (August 4, 2008) - This week on VERSUS, join BAS host, Stephen McKelvain when he teams up with Benelli USA's Steve Otway, and Joe Troiani to partake of some of the finest wing-shooting action found anywhere in South Dakota. Originally imported from China, the ring-necked pheasant has become synonymous with South Dakota, and you will see why when explosive flushing action and fast flying pheasants put the Benelli shotguns to the test.
This week's pheasant hunt is based out of Rooster Ridge Lodge, located near Chamberlin, South Dakota. Watch amazing dog work with expert dog handling when the Benelli folks walk the South Dakota farmlands that provide prime pheasant habitat. Follow along as McKelvain and his team drop bird after bird with some of the best hunting action South Dakota has to offer. Whether pushing through head-high cornfields to flush cackling, long-tailed roosters within shotgun range, or driving early-flushers over guns blocking the field, the Benelli team and their guns meet the challenge.
