Indiana Dunes State Park Singing Sands Star Show, June 20
View the night sky from the beach of Indiana Dunes State Park at the annual Singing Sands Star Show, June 20. A new moon will offer picturesque views of the night sky over Lake Michigan .

The show is co-sponsored by the Calumet Astronomical Society (CAS) and the park's interpretive services. The event begins at 8:30 p.m. CST, and is scheduled to last until 11 p.m. Participants should meet at the beach pavilion.

Equipment for deep space viewing will be provided by members of the CAS, who will attend to share their expertise and passion for star gazing. Dunes State Park interpretive naturalists will share stories on Native American sky lore. Naturalists and CAS members also will assist with constellation identification.

There is no fee for the event. Park entrance fees of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $10 per vehicle for non-residents will apply.
